About Baltimore Country Club

Baltimore Country Club (BCC), established on January 13, 1898, is a prestigious private club located in Baltimore, Maryland. It operates across two campuses: the original Roland Park location and the expansive Five Farms campus in Lutherville.

BCC is one of only twelve clubs nationwide to operate on two campuses, offering a diverse range of amenities and services to its members.

Golf Facilities

At the Five Farms campus, BCC boasts two championship golf courses:

  • East Course: Designed by A.W. Tillinghast in 1926, this Par 70 course features back-to-front pitched greens, limited water hazards, and 96 bunkers. A restoration in 2015 by Keith Foster returned the course to its original 1924 design.
  • This course has received numerous accolades, including recognition in Golfweek's "America's Top 100 Classic Courses."
  • West Course: Opened in 1962 and redesigned in 1990 by Bob Cupp and Tom Kite, this Par 72 course underwent further renovation in 2012 under Keith Foster's direction. It provides members with a challenging and enjoyable golfing experience.

BCC has a rich history of hosting major golf tournaments, including the 1899 U.S. Open, the 1928 PGA Championship, and the 1988 U.S. Women's Open.

The club is one of only two worldwide to have hosted a Men's U.S. Open, a PGA Championship, a Men's U.S. Amateur, a U.S. Walker Cup, a U.S. Women's Open, and a Champions Tour Major.

Additional Amenities

Beyond golf, BCC offers a comprehensive suite of amenities including:

  • Racquets Program: Includes tennis, paddle, pickleball, and squash with a rich tradition of hosting professional events and state-of-the-art facilities.
  • Aquatics: The resort-like pool complex has three swimming pools, grass lawns, a cabana, and open patios for dining. Summer activities feature themed parties, swim lessons, swim team, and social gatherings.
