Augusta University, established in 1828, is a public research university and academic medical center located in Augusta, Georgia. Healthcare Services

The university's medical center, Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center, offers primary, specialty, and sub-specialty care in Augusta and throughout the Southeastern United States. In August 2023, Wellstar Health System began managing Augusta University's hospitals under a 40-year agreement.

This partnership covers the 478-bed Augusta University Medical Center and the 154-bed Children's Hospital of Georgia, aiming to enhance healthcare services and financial stability in Georgia.

Augusta University operates on a main campus in Augusta, Georgia, spanning over 200 acres with four additional local campuses. The Health Sciences campus hosts all medical programs and several buildings including:
