Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC) is a prominent Alaska Native corporation established under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971. Incorporated in 1972, ASRC is owned by approximately 13,000 Iñupiat shareholders from various Alaskan communities, including Point Hope, Point Lay, Wainwright, Atqasuk, Utqiagvik, Nuiqsut, Kaktovik, and Anaktuvuk Pass.

Headquartered in Utqiagvik, Alaska, with administrative offices in Anchorage, ASRC is the largest Alaskan-owned and operated company, employing around 15,000 individuals across its diverse operations.

Business Segments

ASRC's operations are organized into six major business segments:

  • Government Contract Services: Through its subsidiary, ASRC Federal, the corporation provides engineering, information technology, infrastructure support, and professional services to various U.S. federal agencies, including civil, defense, and intelligence sectors.
  • Petroleum Refining & Marketing: ASRC owns Petro Star Inc., the only Alaskan-owned refining and fuel marketing operation in the state, operating two refineries along the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System: the North Pole Refinery and the Valdez Refinery.
  • Energy Support Services: Through ASRC Energy Services, the corporation offers oil field services, including hot-oil services, which involve inspecting and flushing oil well tubing and surface lines to remove accumulated deposits.
  • Industrial Services: ASRC Industrial Services provides construction, maintenance, repair, remediation, environmental engineering, and professional services.
  • Construction: ASRC Construction delivers support services and leadership to a group of construction companies, offering services in buildings, civil infrastructure, and building materials sales.
  • Lands & Natural Resources: As one of the largest private landowners in Alaska, ASRC manages approximately 5 million acres of land, with significant ownership in the Colville River Unit, home to the Alpine Oil Field.

Additionally, ASRC operates other businesses, including Eskimos, Inc., a fuel and automotive parts distributor, and the Top of the World Hotel, which operates Tundra Tours, Inc.
