Jail Alternatives

To address jail overcrowding and provide alternatives to incarceration, Alternatives, Inc. offers programs in Yellowstone and Stillwater Counties. These services aim to reduce jail populations, teach responsibility, and keep indigent offenders out of jail, thereby saving taxpayer money.

Compass Program

In November 2018, Alternatives, Inc. expanded its services by establishing the Compass Program at 2120 3rd Avenue North, Billings, MT 59101. This program offers counseling services ranging from Substance Abuse Disorder and Mental Health treatment to Partner Family Member Assault programming and ACT/Prime for Life.

Compass provides a "one-stop-shop" for community treatment, supervision, and testing through partnerships with the Beta Jail Alternatives program and Alternatives' administrative offices.

SCRAM Services

Alternatives, Inc. is a provider of SCRAM Systems, offering continuous alcohol monitoring and remote alcohol breath testing. These services are designed to monitor offenders' compliance with court-ordered conditions, ensuring public safety and supporting rehabilitation efforts.
