Product Offerings

Acme Bread Company specializes in a diverse range of artisan breads, including sourdough loaves, baguettes, batards, rolls, pastries, and croissants. Their signature sourdough loaves undergo a meticulous 35-hour preparation process, starting with a 12-hour refrigerated sponge made from a natural yeast starter.

This sponge is then combined with additional flour, water, and salt, hand-formed into loaves, and baked in a large brick oven with a rotating slab and steam humidifiers to achieve optimal crust and texture.

In 1999, Acme transitioned to using 100% organic flour, underscoring their dedication to quality and sustainability. They source organic whole-grain flours from California, Washington, Colorado, Utah, and Canada, milled in Utah.

Additionally, Acme incorporates organic raisins, pumpkin seeds, and flax seeds into their products. The company uses environmentally friendly practices, such as photovoltaic panels to generate electricity and fuels their diesel trucks with renewable diesel from vegetable and animal fats.
