Salary: $22–$30/hour

Service Writer Duties & Responsibilities

• Keep systematic records of service histories, customer interactions and repair documentation
• Provide transparent and detailed invoices, including a breakdown of services and costs
• Inform customers about limited offerings, such as free vehicle inspections, and explain their benefits
• Make knowledgeable recommendations for additional services based on vehicle needs
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of information into digital systems
• Balance customer satisfaction with efficient service coordination
• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor to create a positive customer experience

Service Writer Experience Requirements & Skills

• Previous experience in automotive service coordination or a related customer service role
• Familiarity with automotive repair terminology and processes
• Strong organizational skills to manage customer information, service schedule and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with customers effectively
• Proficiency in transaction processing and basic computer skills
• Ability to provide accurate estimates and detailed explanations of services
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians and mechanics
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends if necessary

Service Writer Education & Qualification Requirements
