Patient Service Representative Experience Requirements & Skills

  • Familiarity with medical office procedures, including patient check-in, scheduling and administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of basic healthcare processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with patients, family members and medical staff
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage patient information, appointments and paperwork efficiently
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in data collection and record-keeping
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software for scheduling, data entry and administrative tasks
  • Ability to handle financial transactions, including collecting payments and processing insurance information
