Job Description
Leigh & Co. Events is a rapidly expanding wedding planning company that operates throughout the entire United States. With a strong reputation for delivering exceptional wedding design, coordination, and planning services, Leigh & Co. Events caters to engaged couples looking for professional guidance to bring their dream weddings to life. Their comprehensive services cover every aspect of wedding preparation and execution, ensuring each couple enjoys a seamless and memorable experience. The company prides itself on its commitment to quality, attention to detail, and personalized approach, making it a trusted name in the wedding industry nationwide.
The Lead Wedding Coordinator position at Leigh & Co. Events represents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about weddings and eager to build a career in wedding planning. This role is contract-based, offering the flexibility to select your schedule, supporting work-life balance and personal autonomy. The pay ranges from $25 to $35 per hour, compensated on a per-project basis, making it an attractive option for those seeking both financial and scheduling freedom. Training is provided to equip candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles, emphasizing the company’s dedication to professional development.
As a Lead Wedding Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing weddings primarily on-site, coordinating all elements to ensure flawless execution from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include creating detailed wedding timelines that guide the day’s events, acting as an advocate for the couple to keep them calm under pressure, and handling any unforeseen issues effectively. You will oversee the entire setup process of both the ceremony and reception, ensuring that every detail aligns with the couple's vision. Being on-site from the early morning through the night’s tear down means you are the central figure ensuring smooth communication between vendors, timely execution of plans, and an overall enjoyable experience for the wedding party and guests.
Working closely with assistant coordinators, you will greet and direct all vendors, coordinate their set-ups, and manage the arrangement of decor such as seating cards, menu cards, table numbers, favors, and guest books. The role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your ability to assist the wedding party and family with any questions or concerns throughout the day will be vital to maintaining a stress-free environment. Additionally, you will ensure that end-of-event arrangements, including the handling of gifts, guest books, and toasting flutes, are properly managed.
This position is ideal for individuals with at least two years of experience in wedding or event planning, who are detail-oriented, excellent communicators, and have reliable transportation. The ability to work weekends is essential, given the nature of wedding events. Physical stamina is also required as you may need to carry and lift items weighing up to 30 lbs. Given the dynamic nature of weddings, this role is suited for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working as a central point of contact within a team.
Leigh & Co. Events is excited to welcome new planners for the 2026 season and beyond, offering a rewarding chance to grow your career in the wedding industry while enjoying the flexibility of a contract role with training and competitive pay. Join a company that values your input, supports your professional journey, and enables you to make a meaningful impact on one of the most important days in a couple’s life.
