Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in culinary arts or related field
  • 3 or more years of culinary leadership experience
  • must meet State Board of Health requirements
  • understanding of safety procedures
  • effective verbal and written communication skills

  • proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • knowledge of food service administration and cost control

Job Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of culinary leadership experience preferably in independent or assisted living or with growing responsibility

  • ability to handle inquiries or complaints professionally
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations including staffing, training, budgeting, and forecasting
  • oversee and supervise kitchen staff and servers for daily and long-term operations including hiring and developing associates
  • ensure menu quality, consistency, and creativity at the highest level while maximizing resources
  • oversee all food production
  • maintain visibility to customers, solicit feedback on food quality, and respond to guest concerns professionally
  • assure adequate supplies are maintained
  • maintain kitchen equipment and sanitation standards
  • control yearly payroll budget for the food service department
  • stay current on industry trends and techniques
  • review and approve food service invoices for accuracy
  • maintain and use approved vendors for services and supplies
  • assist with development and implementation of culinary standards, guidelines, and procedures company-wide
  • ensure compliance with state and company sanitation requirements
