Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
- Ability to use all sensory capabilities such as vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and speaking
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Ability to memorize recipes and portion sizes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent preferred

Job Duties
- Consistently prepare high-quality food in a timely manner and follow all company recipes and specifications
- Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking
- Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
- Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or judgment using kitchen utensils and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work station and kitchen
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary practices
- Comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Estimate expected food consumption and requisition or purchase supplies
- Set up Line according to kitchen guidelines and par sheets
- Pre-cut ingredients to reduce preparation time
- Check kitchen equipment operation
- Stock stations to par levels and organize station shelves
- Memorize all ingredients and portion sizes for menu items
- Wrap, date and refrigerate food
- Sanitize cutting boards
- Hand-clean knives
- Complete and participate in Line Checks to ensure quality
- Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-ins, and storage areas
- Wash hands frequently
- Use kitchen utensils, knives, and equipment safely and responsibly
- Work as a team and use positive communication
- Clean, stock, and maintain the Line throughout shift
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
