Salary: $150,000–$300,000 per year

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday–Friday, with the possibility of overtime beyond 40 hours per week

COO Duties & Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization
  • Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures
  • Identifying and assessing operational risks
  • Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Leading the organization through challenging situations
  • Ensuring efficient use of resources and effective allocation of tasks
  • Evaluating and implementing technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency
  • Collaborating with the executive team to create and implement the company’s strategic plan
  • Aligning operational strategies with overall business objectives
  • Leading and managing cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for operational performance
  • Monitoring and analyzing performance data to identify areas for improvement
  • Working closely with the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) to manage and optimize the company’s financial performance
  • Implementing cost-control measures and ensuring budget adherence
  • Ensuring that the organization complies with relevant laws and regulations
  • Staying informed about changes in industry regulations
  • Communicating effectively with other executives, department heads and employees
  • Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

COO Experience Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience in executive leadership roles, preferably as a COO or in a similar capacity
  • Track record of implementing operational strategies to achieve business goals
  • Background in developing and executing strategic plans
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial analysis
  • Proven ability to drive and manage organizational change
  • Thorough understanding of the industry in which the company operates
  • Experience identifying and mitigating operational risks
  • Ability to make informed decisions under pressure
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels

COO Education & Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Management or a related discipline
