Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods
- Ability to follow safety and chemical handling procedures
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to comply with attendance policies
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of laundry chemicals and effects on various types of linen
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods
- Ability to lift linen bundles up to 75 pounds
- Ability to push or pull wheeled carts up to 100 pounds
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences
Job Duties
- Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines
- Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications
- Monitor feeder information on washers and report any irregularities to supervisor
- Set proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen
- Clean machines and surrounding areas
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
