Job Requirements

  • College degree or certification in culinary field or hospitality field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort setting
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and different cuisines
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage inventory including ordering and receiving
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Communicate daily with the Executive Chef to update planning, staffing, and internal procedures
  • Complete daily food requisitions and manage daily specials
  • Assist in hiring, training, and coaching the culinary team
  • Play an integral role in menu development and recipe standardization
  • Manage inventory including ordering and receiving products
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards
