Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- culinary certificate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- experience managing a kitchen team
- strong leadership and organizational skills
- excellent communication abilities
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- active Minnesota Certified Food Manager certification
- flexibility to work varied hours including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
- some Spanish speaking is beneficial
- bachelor’s degree, culinary certificate, or equivalent
- experience in a high-volume kitchen operation
- proficient in scratch cooking
- active Minnesota Certified Food Manager credentials
Job Duties
- Oversee line cooks and dishwashers on a daily basis
- assist with day-to-day operation of the kitchen
- ensure the highest level of food quality and consistency
- participate in food preparation, upholding expected standards
- assist with menu research and development
- execute lunch and dinner service with kitchen team
- control ticket times during peak business and communicate with front of house
- control food cost through staff training on preparation and handling
- assist in establishing kitchen goals and resolving operational issues
- help train and develop kitchen staff
- maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in the kitchen environment
