The opening of our new NYC Motek location marks an exciting phase for our brand and presents a unique opportunity for passionate culinary professionals to join our team. We are currently seeking a skilled Sous Chef who will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. The Sous Chef will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene protocols. This position is essential in coordinating with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As an influential member of the kitchen management team, the Sous Chef will manage the kitchen line to optimize efficiency and quality control. This includes supervising the preparation process, monitoring inventory and station readiness, and guaranteeing that every dish served meets Motek's high standards of freshness and presentation. The Sous Chef also acts as a key communication link between the kitchen staff and front-of-house operations, facilitating smooth coordination to meet order times and enhance guest satisfaction. This position demands culinary expertise, particularly with Mediterranean cuisine, alongside strong leadership and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years managing a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Culinary school diploma is a plus
  • Knowledgeable on food safety guidelines
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively

  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
