Job Description
The Sous Chef at a high-volume upscale restaurant or high-end resort restaurant is responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in delivering high-quality, great-tasting food, ensuring proper food safety and sanitation procedures, and contributing to profitability. They play a key role in building top line sales and guest count through the delivery of a superior team member and guest experience while ensuring menu items are executed with excellence. The Sous Chef also focuses on managing quality in all aspects of their job.
Job Requirements
- Proven success as a Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume upscale restaurant or high-end resort restaurant
- strong passion for culinary excellence, wine knowledge, and service
- proven ability to develop teams
- knowledge of systems, methods, and processes contributing to great execution
- stable job history demonstrating upward career progression
