Job Description

The Sous Chef role is responsible for preparing food in accordance with approved menus and ensuring quality food service in the absence of the Culinary Services Director.

Job Requirements

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • six (6) months of experience working in a restaurant or similar environment as a Cook preferred
  • able to safely operate standard cooking equipment and utensils
  • proficient in MS Office programs
  • knowledge of and ability to learn assisted living and dementia care practices
  • able to work with seniors and cognitively impaired individuals
  • flexible, adaptable, and able to make decisions in stressful situations
  • able to follow oral and written instructions
  • must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
