Job Description

Under direct supervision of the Lead Cook and line cooks, this establishment operates a food program ensuring the preparation of meals, setup, and clean-up of the dining facility, creating a welcoming environment for clients. Routine kitchen tasks include setting up workstations, prepping ingredient lists, packaging and labeling meals, cleaning, and stocking.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous prep or line cook experience
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Manual dexterity with kitchen tools
  • Effective communication and ability to work under pressure
  • Current Serv Safe certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly
  • Must pass a drug and background screening
