Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs or more
- ability to stand and bend for long periods of time
- physical stamina to perform kitchen tasks
- prior experience in a food preparation role preferred
- basic understanding of food safety practices
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets
- follow instructions effectively
- capacity to use kitchen tools safely, including knives and small equipment
- manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whisk a variety of foods and liquids
- experience operating kitchen equipment
- basic knowledge of health and safety standards
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare food to specifications before and during unit operations
- comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures
- label, date and wrap food products in accordance with ServSafe procedures
- communicate with chef for any instructions or training
- uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations
- follow all safety, security and kitchen procedures
- maintain food, utensils and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
- perform opening, closing and side work duties
- conduct end-of-day inventory in accordance with guidelines
