Job Description

Located in the heart of Uptown Dallas, The Stoneleigh stands as a distinguished landmark with a rich history and newly enhanced allure. Recently, the hotel underwent an extensive $20 million renovation and proudly relaunched as part of Marriott’s prestigious Autograph Collection. The hotel features 176 meticulously renovated rooms and public spaces, showcasing refined modern design while retaining its historic charm. It also boasts acclaimed dining establishments such as Lions Den, the new restaurant by award-winning Chef Michael White, and Bar Leonessa, a sophisticated bar experience. Chef Michael White, known for his James Beard award, five simultaneous Michelin stars, and numerous New York Times accolades, brings innovative and globally inspired cuisine to the Dallas culinary landscape. Lions Den is set to open on May 1st, 2026, promising a dining experience that merges seasonal ingredients with a distinct Dallas spirit.

The Stoneleigh is now seeking enthusiastic and dedicated bartenders to join their hospitality team. This role is vital in ensuring an exceptional guest experience by providing outstanding beverage service matching the hotel’s high standards. The bartender will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, crafting and serving a variety of drinks with care and precision, and maintaining a clean and organized work station throughout each shift. Candidates will need to comply with all state, federal, and corporate regulations related to alcohol service and operate cash handling procedures diligently. This position demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team, and a genuine passion for guest satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred
  • Knowledge of state and federal alcohol laws
  • Ability to carry trays weighing up to 30lbs continuously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons
  • Ability to use point of service computer
  • Full knowledge of state liquor laws
  • Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30lbs through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc

Job Duties

  • Hospitably greet, prepare and serve drinks to guests according to HEI Hotels and Resorts beverage service standards
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Prepare station for readiness prior to opening and closing of each shift
  • Follow all cash handling and bank operating procedures as outlined by HEI Hotels and Resorts
  • Perform all side work duties according to side work schedules
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned
