Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Texas Food Handler Safe-Serve Certificate
  • Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant kitchen preferred
  • Ability to lift at least forty pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, stoop, push, pull, hold, twist, reach, and climb stairs or ladders
  • Ability to work efficiently in a hot, humid, and sometimes loud environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Texas Food Handler Safe-Serve Certificate
  • Previous fine dining or restaurant line cook experience preferred
  • Ability to work clean, neat, and organized
  • Strong work ethics
  • Interest in advancing culinary career
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to stand and perform physical tasks for long periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare items required for work station according to par sheets or instructions from the Chef on duty or other superiors
  • Prepare all assigned products in work station during service
  • Prep special food items as assigned by the Sous Chef or other superiors
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary environment to ensure compliance with local and state health codes
  • Prepare all food according to recipes and guidelines established by the Executive Chef
  • Enforce and abide by all established country club policies pertinent to kitchen operations
  • Assist with preparation of other food products as needed
  • Prepares or assist in preparing employee meals as needed
  • Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned by Executive Sous, Banquet Sous or Executive Chef
