Job Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to articulate to clients and management
- Proven leadership skills with emphasis on team building and partnerships
- Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills combined with organizational abilities
- Demonstrates financial management, merchandising, analytical, planning and leadership skills
- Demonstrates flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer knowledge and skill level for office functions
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle boxes up to 35lbs
- Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Three to five years Junior Sous Chef or similar experience
- Culinary Arts Degree preferred
- ServSafe or Food Handling Certification preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP

Job Duties
- Interview, hire, evaluate, reward, and progressively coach kitchen personnel as appropriate
- Develop culinary training programs for food production employees and serve as a culinary resource to promote quality food services
- Train kitchen personnel in safe equipment operation and food production principles
- Direct and coordinate the work of production and dish room staff
- Maintain communications with Food and Catering Operations teams to ensure proper menu production, standards, quality, and staffing levels
- Manage employees in accordance with State and Federal labor laws
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Perform SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable guest experience
- Supervise period end inventory for all food and beverage areas
- Direct and participate in the daily preparation of standard and gourmet food items
- Monitor and track proper cooking and holding temperatures
- Inspect all locations for quality of food preparation, cleanliness, and employee appearance
- Implement and enforce sanitary practices for food handling and kitchen cleanliness
- Comply with all food safety and health regulations
- Process invoices and coordinate vendor payments
- Manage all culinary operational functions within the unit
- Assist in controlling food costs, waste, and storeroom requisitions
- Support in scheduling and payroll management to meet budget expectations
- Promote sustainable resource incorporation in culinary selections
- Foster an inclusive and supportive unit culture
- Engage in community hiring and giving back initiatives
- Perform other tasks as necessary
