Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in event coordination or hospitality-related roles
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and handle vendor relationships
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and financial tracking
  • Strong marketing and promotional skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
  • Knowledge of event logistics and operations
  • Availability to work in person at the event location

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in event planning or management within hospitality settings such as hotels, restaurants, or banquet halls
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable contracts and upsell additional services
  • Excellent marketing skills to promote events effectively across digital platforms and traditional channels
  • Demonstrated ability in event marketing strategies that boost attendance and engagement
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence
  • Effective time management skills to juggle multiple events simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management related to event execution
  • Knowledge of banquet operations, catering coordination, contracts management, and fundraising activities is highly desirable
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills to coordinate teams and manage complex logistics efficiently

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and translate it into detailed event plans that meet their goals and budgets
  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning including venue selection, catering arrangements, entertainment, decorations, and transportation
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors such as caterers, decorators, entertainment providers, and venue managers to secure the best terms and services
  • Manage event budgets meticulously, ensuring costs stay within limits while maximizing value through upselling opportunities
  • Oversee event marketing efforts to promote events effectively across various channels and attract target audiences
  • Supervise on-site event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements are executed flawlessly and guest services are exceptional
  • Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors, staff, and guests to ensure smooth operations from start to finish
