It is a growing collection of all-day neighborhood cafes with strong restaurant roots, offering a familiar yet elevated menu of classic dishes. The cafe is renowned for its signature crullers, all-day breakfast sandwiches featuring runny yolks, and freshly brewed coffee and teas. The role of Cafe Sous Chef at Daily Provisions is critical to maintaining the high standards and quality of the kitchen's operations. This leadership position works closely with the Cafe Chef to ensure all prep kitchen pars and menu executions meet the brand's culinary expectations while overseeing the performance of Back of House (BOH) team members. The Cafe Sous Chef is responsible for managing and developing the line cooks and all hourly team members with a focus on accountability, consistent feedback, and career growth. Acting as a vital link between kitchen management and team execution, the Sous Chef plays an active role in cultivating an environment of Enlightened Hospitality that prioritizes guest satisfaction and team well-being.
This position demands a blend of culinary expertise and leadership acumen. The successful candidate will champion the restaurant27s systems, routines, and service standards across all service channels including in-restaurant dining, third-party delivery, and catering. They will be an educator and mentor who conducts tastings and staff presentations to ensure front of house (FOH) team members understand the menu and culinary procedures fully. The Sous Chef actively enforces kitchen cleanliness, safety, and adherence to "A" level health code standards, guaranteeing every dish leaving the kitchen meets Daily Provisions27 commitment to quality and excellence.

Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in culinary or kitchen leadership and casual dining
- excellent food and beverage knowledge
- experience in training and developing back of house team members
- strong communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- hospitality-related certification preferred
- English fluency required
Job Qualifications

- excellent food and beverage knowledge with a passion for culinary excellence and exceeding guest expectations
- experience in training and developing back of house team members
- ability to communicate respectfully and transparently across teams
- understanding of Microsoft Office applications
- certification in a hospitality-related field preferred
- fluency in English, additional languages preferred
Job Duties
- Consistently deliver a culture of enlightened hospitality to guests and team members
- partner with front of house and back of house team members to enforce systems, routines, and checklists daily
- ensure high performance and maintain excellence and hospitality throughout service periods
- direct the team and expedite service to ensure consistent execution of food and timely flow
- educate front of house team members on the menu and culinary procedures through tastings and presentations
- maintain positive relationships with dining room leaders and line staff
- uphold food specifications, kitchen cleanliness, and safety according to health codes
- train all team members to execute their stations properly
- collaborate with Cafe Chef to ensure new hires are adequately trained
