This opportunity is for the role of a Barista within the Starbucks Reserve Back of House team. The role contributes to the success of the Starbucks Reserve brand by delivering exceptional experiences for customers while embodying the company’s principles and standards. As a barista in this setting, one acts as a coffee and food expert and brand ambassador, providing a unique coffee and food-forward experience that demands impeccable knowledge and execution. The position requires maintaining operational excellence and demonstrating composure even in high-volume or ambiguous situations. This role is integral to creating the distinctive Starbucks Reserve Experience, ensuring every beverage and food product adheres to recipe and presentation standards while following health and safety guidelines.
The Barista, Back of House, supports the overall customer experience through anticipation of store needs, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting event execution as part of a team. Operational responsibilities include inventory management, production planning, preparation and assembly of beverage and food items, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and proving various doughs and laminates. This role requires flexibility with hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and involves physical demands such as lifting and standing for long periods.

Job Requirements
- Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, climb stairs, and stand for long periods
- Ability to carry 35lb consistently
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
- Health code certification per jurisdictional requirements
Job Qualifications
- Experience in service, culinary, restaurant or entertainment industry
- Ability to memorize complex menus and beverage builds
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Basic culinary knife skills beneficial
- Baking or culinary certification or degree beneficial
- Ability to work in multiple store departments
- Ability to learn quickly and multitask
- Additional languages beneficial
