Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for crafting some of the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful moments for millions of people every day. Founded with a mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit, Starbucks has become more than just a place to grab coffee; it is a community hub where warm and welcoming experiences shape lasting connections. With thousands of stores worldwide, Starbucks prides itself on quality beverages made from responsibly sourced coffee beans and exceptional customer service delivered by passionate partners. As an employer, Starbucks emphasizes growth and development, offering a wide range of benefits and opportunities for career advancement. The company’s commitment to inclusivity and support ensures that every partner feels valued and empowered in their role.

At Starbucks, the Coffeehouse Team Member position is an entry-level role that embodies the brand’s ethos of kindness, connection, and quality. This role requires individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy engaging with diverse customers, and take pride in their work. Coffeehouse Team Members play a pivotal role in delivering excellent customer experiences by preparing beverages and food to Starbucks’ high standards, memorizing favorite orders, and adding a personal touch to every interaction. The position offers flexible work hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, making it suitable for those who require adaptable scheduling. Despite no prior experience being necessary, candidates must show strong interpersonal skills, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Starbucks invests heavily in the growth journey of its partners, fostering a supportive environment enriched by developmental experiences. Partners receive comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance options, short and long-term disability coverage, and paid parental leave. Paid vacation and sick leave accrue over time, and additional pay is provided for working on observed holidays. Starbucks also supports financial well-being through a 401(k) plan with employer match, stock purchase programs, and emergency savings incentives. Furthering education is encouraged through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, offering 100% tuition coverage for a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University’s online program, alongside student loan management resources.

Working as a Starbucks partner also includes access to backup care and DACA reimbursement, reflecting the company’s commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace. Starbucks complies with state and local laws on employee leave benefits and promotes equal opportunity employment, ensuring all qualified applicants receive fair consideration. The company respects and accommodates candidates with disabilities, offering reasonable accommodations during the application process. Compensation is competitive and tailored based on location and candidate experience, with many new partners starting at the entry point of the salary range for their role.

Joining Starbucks means becoming part of a global family dedicated to making every coffee moment meaningful, fostering connections through genuine interactions, and contributing to a welcoming environment. As a Coffeehouse Team Member, you have the opportunity to brighten someone’s day with a smile and a perfectly crafted cup of coffee, while growing your skills and career alongside supportive colleagues and leadership.
