The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, presented by Shell, is a globally recognized annual event that has celebrated the vibrant culture and heritage of New Orleans and Louisiana since 1970. This festival is not merely a music event; it represents the soul of a city rich in traditions, music, and culinary delights. Job Requirements

  • Employee must maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues
  • Any document, computer program, design, or other intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival belongs to the Jazz Festival and must be given to the Festival through your supervisor or department head at the end of each production year or upon request
  • Must complete all required Feedback Forms and Final Reports
  • Employee must be capable of performing other work-related duties as assigned
  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs
  • Frequent bending, pushing, pulling
  • Use of pallet jacks and hand trucks may be required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in beverage operations or a related field
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong multitasking skills
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication verbal and written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to adapt to fast-paced environments
  • Experience with special events or large-scale beverage operations is a plus

Job Duties

  • Receive and verify beverage deliveries
  • Secure and organize inventory
  • Stock, set up, and maintain assigned bar areas throughout daily operations
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels at all times
  • Clean and break down bar equipment and areas at the end of each shift
  • Follow and enforce all beverage operations policies and procedures
  • Provide additional support to the Beverage Operations team as needed
