The role of a Service Technician at Arbon Equipment - A Rite-Hite Company involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of loading dock equipment and industrial doors at various customer locations. This full-time position requires candidates who can work independently or as part of a small team in a dynamic field service environment. Service Technicians are frontline representatives of the company, acting as technical resources for both customers and the internal sales force. They provide critical support by ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and safely, helping customers maintain high levels of productivity and compliance with safety standards. The role requires a mix of hands-on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repair skills, combined with strong customer service abilities. Technicians must be prepared to work outdoors, sometimes at heights, and handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting equipment up to 100 pounds. Additionally, candidates must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screening and a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.The ideal candidate will have welding experience and background in repairing or installing industrial equipment. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience welding and with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • prior experience in repair or installation of industrial equipment preferred
  • ability to work independently in a field environment
  • good customer service skills
  • ability to work outdoors, at heights, and lift up to 100 pounds
  • valid driver’s license
  • clean driving record
  • pre-employment drug test
