Warehouse Packer Job Description
As a Warehouse Packer, you’ll play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse. You’ll work closely with other team members to ensure that all items are packed correctly, adhere to packing guidelines, and are dispatched on time. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow precise instructions, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Warehouse Packer Duties and Responsibilities
- Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipment or storage.
- Follow all company guidelines regarding packaging to ensure high quality.
- Inspect items to ensure they’re not damaged.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Report any discrepancies or damage to supervisors.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment and tools, like pallet jacks, tape guns.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Work with the warehouse team to efficiently complete assigned tasks.
Warehouse Packer Requirements and Qualifications
- No previous warehouse experience necessary; we provide on-the-job training.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Commitment to safety guidelines.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Basic math skills.
- Good communication skills.
