Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 plus year previous experience required in related position
  • Knowledge and the ability to operate cleaning equipment
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and working knowledge of English required

Job Duties

  • Cleans guestrooms as assigned by management and in accordance with hotel standards
  • Inspects all rooms (vacant or occupied), checking the standard of cleanliness, missing guest amenities and/or supplies
  • Is given a set number of occupied rooms to clean during a shift
  • Removes used towels and replaces them with clean ones from the Linen Closet
  • Wipes down any wet services in the bathroom
  • Folds any clothing left in the room and places it in an appropriate spot
  • Removes Room Service trays, dishes, and carts to service landings
  • Closes drapes, reduces lighting, turn music on softly and prepares bed
  • Restocks used amenities such as shampoo, lotions, cotton balls, stationery, and pens
  • Prepares unoccupied rooms for turndown for arriving guests
  • Is proficient in the safe handling of all relevant equipment and machinery, reports defects and accidents to management immediately
  • Responsible for reporting to the manager the rooms which do not require service, or which have Privacy signs in assigned area
  • To carry out any other cleaning duties as specified by your manager
