Job Description

This job posting is for a position within a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not Jack in the Box Inc. This means that the independent franchisee, and not Jack in the Box Inc., will be your employer if you are hired. The independent franchisee is responsible for all employment-related matters in the restaurant including but not limited to setting any job requirements, hiring, firing, discipline, wages, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. This arrangement offers candidates a direct and personal employment experience within the franchise, under the management style and policies of the independent franchise owner, making the work environment unique and community-focused.

The role itself is a critical part of the team aimed at delivering a "WOW" guest experience by consistently providing quality food, excellent service, and a clean restaurant environment. The position requires an individual who embodies exceptional customer service skills with a positive and friendly demeanor. Those in the role are expected to put the guest first, approach each customer interaction with a genuine smile and courteous attitude, and create a welcoming atmosphere. You will directly impact the overall experience by ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and quality of every order. Handling guest complaints tactfully using methods centered on courtesy, apology, resolution, and extra effort is a vital responsibility, emphasizing the importance of maintaining guest satisfaction and loyalty.

This position also demands teamwork and cooperation among staff, maintaining respect and care towards fellow team members, and contributing to a harmonious work environment. Supporting new employees and helping with training when assigned illustrates the role’s importance in fostering team development and growth. Uniform and personal cleanliness, compliance with operational procedures, and the ability to follow precise instructions while remaining productive and focused are essential attributes.

Flexibility and reliability are key, given the requirements for excellent attendance and punctuality—arriving at least 5 minutes early for scheduled shifts. The job environment is fast-paced and requires standing and walking for approximately 90% to 95% of the shift, along with the physical capability to lift and carry items between 10 and 65 pounds. Candidates should be comfortable operating a cash register and reading video monitors, reflecting the technological aspects of the role.

Overall, this role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to build their career in the restaurant industry within a supportive and flexible work environment. Benefits such as health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible schedules, free uniforms, meal discounts for the employee and their family, and opportunities for promotion enhance the value of this employment. The position suits energetic, dedicated individuals who enjoy providing exceptional guest experiences and want to contribute positively to the restaurant’s success.
