The role offered is that of a Food and Beverage Outlet Manager at Freehand Los Angeles under HEI Hotels & Resorts. This is an hourly, non-tipped position with a competitive wage set at $40.00 per hour. The Outlet Manager is essential to the smooth operation of the hotel's food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, room service, and bars during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The manager will oversee daily operations, manage staffing including interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluation, and resolving employee issues. They will also play a critical role in retaining and motivating staff to maintain high service standards.

Key responsibilities include managing operational compliance with company practices, safety regulations, and hospitality standards, optimizing outlet budgets including labor and supply costs, and enhancing overall guest experience by responding to trends and feedback. The manager is also responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the outlets and equipment to protect assets and provide a quality service environment. Given this comprehensive scope, the role demands a strong knowledge of restaurant and hotel operations, personnel management, budget control, and guest service excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences

Job Duties

  • Investigate and analyze current activities or information and make logical conclusions and recommendations
  • Make decisions based on established policy and procedures
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner periods
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the bar
  • Interview, hire, train, develop, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, and recommend discipline or termination of staff
  • Retain and motivate associates within the various outlets
  • Assist with implementation of company programs and ensure compliance with LSOPs, SOPs, safety regulations and legal requirements
  • Forecast, monitor, control and report on outlet budgets including labor, food and beverage costs
  • Respond to customer trends, needs, issues and feedback to enhance sales and guest experience
  • Monitor and control maintenance and sanitation of outlets and equipment
  • Comply with attendance rules and perform other job-related duties as assigned
