Job Duties
- As a Sushi Culinary Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating delicious sushi and sauces for our guests, while providing an engaging and delightful experience at our sushi bar
- You will prepare and present a variety of sushi items, ensuring high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Greet and welcome guests at the sushi bar/lounge area, making them feel at home
- Prepare a diverse range of ingredients including meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables using various kitchen equipment
- Respond promptly to guest requests and share your knowledge about the food offerings
- Ensure guest satisfaction with the quality of food and service
- Perform opening and closing duties including cleaning and organizing the sushi bar area
- Maintain compliance with the Company's standards on food portioning, cooking methods, and safety practices
- Keep the kitchen and sushi counters clean, sanitary, and organized at all times
- Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the manager and head sushi chef
- Adhere to food presentation standards, ensuring each dish is beautifully garnished
- Handle and store ready-to-eat food safely in accordance with health regulations
- Follow best practices for food handling and storage
- Use knives and kitchen tools effectively to prepare and serve food for our guests
- Keep the Head Sushi Chef updated on inventory levels and report any defective products
- Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor with guests
- Address any guest dissatisfaction immediately and notify the manager on duty
- Follow Company policies regarding alcoholic beverage service
- Assist in the preparation of sushi items and support sushi helpers as needed
- Help create memorable experiences for guests celebrating special occasions
- Participate in capturing moments with guests through photography as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor
