Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of sushi sous chef experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years culinary supervisory/management experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Strong menu planning ability
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Products, POS, and technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to bend, kneel, sit, and/or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to push and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work extended hours, irregular shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced and stressful environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of sushi sous chef experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of culinary supervisory/management experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent work experience preferred

  • Ability to coach and build a team
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Proficient with computers, POS, and technology

Job Duties

  • Ensure the needs of the guests are accommodated
  • Ensure the general cleanliness of the heart-of-house and entire venue
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training new applicants and team member development
  • Responsible for scheduling of assigned departments where applicable
  • Participate in growth opportunities and team member development of all heart-of-house team members
  • Ensure safety, quality, and recipe accuracy
  • Manage execution of regular service, catering, take-out, delivery, and all in-venue/off-premise events
