Job Requirements

  • minimum of 1 year sushi chef experience
  • ability to maintain professional and courteous demeanor
  • ability to entertain and perform in front of guests
  • teamwork skills
  • knowledge of proper food preparation techniques
  • knowledge of food storage and handling
  • previous experience in restaurant or hospitality industry
  • possession of valid food handlers card if applicable
  • ability to walk, sit, and stand for long periods
  • must be 18 years or older or in accordance with state law
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • eligibility to work in the United States
  • availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime

  • ability to walk, sit, and stand for long periods
  • high school diploma or GED preferred, culinary schooling a plus
  • eligibility to work in the United States
  • availability to work varying shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • openness to work overtime as required

Job Duties

  • prepare side and sushi items according to portioning, recipe, and service guidelines
  • work primarily in front of guests at the sushi bar
  • ensure portioning of foods prepared
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the sushi bar and equipment
  • entertain and perform in front of guests
  • collaborate effectively with team members
  • monitor food storage and handling techniques
