Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of sushi chef experience required
  • Ability to maintain professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and busy times
  • Ability to entertain and perform in front of guests is strongly desired
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Ability to prepare food with knowledge of proper techniques and equipment
  • Knowledge of food storage and handling techniques is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality industry required
  • Holds state and/or local food handlers card where applicable
  • Ability to walk, sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Must be 18 years or older or in accordance with state law
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Culinary schooling preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be able to work different shifts including holidays, nights and weekends
  • Must be able to work overtime as required

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Culinary schooling preferred
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years or older or in accordance with state law

Job Duties

  • Prepare side and sushi items in accordance with portioning, recipe and service guidelines
  • Work in front of guests while preparing food at the sushi bar
  • Monitor and ensure proper portioning of foods prepared at the sushi bar
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the sushi bar and equipment
  • Entertain and perform in front of guests to enhance the dining experience
  • Collaborate with team members to support overall guest dining satisfaction
  • Adhere to food safety and handling standards
