The Spa Manager role is a pivotal leadership position within Arch Amenities Group's Spa Operations department, reporting directly to the Spa Director or Regional Director. This exempt position involves managing the day-to-day operations of a spa facility, including overseeing financial performance, strategic planning, marketing initiatives, staff training and development, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The Spa Manager acts as a professional representative of both the facility and Arch Amenities Group, responsible for fostering a team-oriented environment that meets and exceeds service standards and operational expectations. This role demands a balance of business acumen, operational expertise, and strong interpersonal skills to drive revenue, optimize budgeting, maintain compliance, and create an inviting atmosphere that reflects the company’s wellness and hospitality values. The Spa Manager is also tasked with maintaining facility safety and security, developing marketing and public relations strategies, integrating spa operations with associated fitness facilities, and continuously assessing competitor positioning within the marketplace to maintain a competitive edge.

  • 2+ years of successful spa management experience

Job Duties

  • Ensures the Arch Amenities Group experience for members and guests by maintaining company standards
  • Adheres to policies of the facility and Arch Amenities Group
  • Develops comprehensive facility operations manuals including policies and procedures
  • Prepares monthly and yearly management reports outlining facility statistics and operations
  • Submits all paperwork and financial reports according to company policies
  • Maintains accurate facility maintenance procedures and inventory
  • Writes articles or press releases for the facility
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains staff to maintain full staffing
  • Conducts staff meetings and training workshops to ensure knowledge of services and products
  • Provides supervisory coverage through Manager on Duty system
  • Assesses and coaches employees, participates in evaluations and termination when necessary
  • Provides excellent customer service and monitors guest feedback
  • Implements marketing and public relations strategies
  • Ensures facility safety and security for members and guests
  • Manages budget adherence through efficient scheduling
  • Integrates spa and fitness facility operations effectively
  • Conducts competitive market analysis and positions spa accordingly
  • Contacts conference groups and promotes spa services
  • Develops and implements retail sales plans with service and retail goals
  • Manages payroll and budgeting through seasonal utilization schedules
  • Controls service product usage and inventory
  • Provides financial information for accurate reporting
  • Ensures compliance with state licensing and health regulations
  • Manages reservation procedures and incident reporting
  • Performs other duties as assigned
