Job Description
The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking a Sous Chef to standardize, maintain, and continuously improve culinary standards for guest satisfaction according to company policies and procedures. This position is safety-oriented and vital for ensuring quality food service at the resort.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in ARIBA ordering
- working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic computer skills
- working knowledge of food preparations including soups, sauces, meats, fish, poultry, casseroles, and vegetables
- clear and effective communication in English
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- 21 years of age
- proof of authorization to work in the United States
- high school diploma
- Associate degree in Food and Beverage and/or course completion from an accredited Culinary Institute preferred
- ability to obtain and maintain Health Card and any other necessary certifications
- 3 years of experience as a manager in a high-volume kitchen
- demonstrated experience in advanced knife skills, proper food handling, and sanitation practices
