Job Description

The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking a Sous Chef to standardize, maintain, and continuously improve culinary standards for guest satisfaction according to company policies and procedures. This position is safety-oriented and vital for ensuring quality food service at the resort.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in ARIBA ordering
  • working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic computer skills
  • working knowledge of food preparations including soups, sauces, meats, fish, poultry, casseroles, and vegetables
  • clear and effective communication in English
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • 21 years of age
  • proof of authorization to work in the United States
  • high school diploma
  • Associate degree in Food and Beverage and/or course completion from an accredited Culinary Institute preferred
  • ability to obtain and maintain Health Card and any other necessary certifications
  • 3 years of experience as a manager in a high-volume kitchen
  • demonstrated experience in advanced knife skills, proper food handling, and sanitation practices
