Job Requirements

  • Previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or relevant culinary role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
  • Familiarity with inventory management and food cost control

Job Duties

  • Understand and respond to all guest and employee needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist as directed in training, scheduling, and supporting food and beverage employees to maintain high morale and productivity
  • Oversee the proper and efficient preparation of all foods for events, employee meals, and special functions ensuring quality and quantity standards
  • Follow all specifications to properly and efficiently prepare and present all food and beverage items including accommodating special guest requests
  • Properly handle all products used in the food and beverage operation including preparation, covering, labeling, dating, and storage
  • Oversee proper rotation of food items to minimize waste
  • Respond promptly to product shortages or excess to ensure needed supplies and minimize waste
  • Maintain and promote cleanliness and safety standards of the kitchen operation
  • Follow specified procedures to open or close the kitchen
  • Perform inventory of products for ordering and assist in month-end inventory process
