Job Requirements

- Previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- Willingness to undergo COVID-19 vaccination if required by location
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sous chef or relevant culinary role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Familiarity with inventory management and food cost control
Job Duties
- Understand and respond to all guest and employee needs in a timely and professional manner
- Assist as directed in training, scheduling, and supporting food and beverage employees to maintain high morale and productivity
- Oversee the proper and efficient preparation of all foods for events, employee meals, and special functions ensuring quality and quantity standards
- Follow all specifications to properly and efficiently prepare and present all food and beverage items including accommodating special guest requests
- Properly handle all products used in the food and beverage operation including preparation, covering, labeling, dating, and storage
- Oversee proper rotation of food items to minimize waste
- Respond promptly to product shortages or excess to ensure needed supplies and minimize waste
- Maintain and promote cleanliness and safety standards of the kitchen operation
- Follow specified procedures to open or close the kitchen
- Perform inventory of products for ordering and assist in month-end inventory process
