Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Serf Safe Food Handler Certification
  • ability to communicate clearly with guests and team
  • capacity to make appropriate judgments in kitchen processes
  • physical ability to stand for minimum 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds
  • availability to work rotating shifts, nights, overtime
  • compliance with health and safety standards
  • willingness to work in a high-noise and potentially stressful environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare recipes and cook meals for guests
  • work with hotel leadership to ensure exceptional accommodation for all guests
  • drive training, coaching, and mentorship of hourly employees
  • supervise staff performance according to standards
  • monitor employee performance and provide feedback
  • assist with training new hires to meet company standards
  • promote team spirit and good morale
  • lead by example in service technique and work ethic
  • provide feedback to upper management on team performance
  • organize and monitor staff attendance
  • ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • proactively address facility maintenance
  • communicate effectively with leadership and staff
  • assist Executive Chef with kitchen management
  • assist with inventory and scheduling
  • train staff on new menu items
  • operate all food stations as needed
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen storage
  • prepare food for a la carte, banquets, restaurant, and nightclub
  • replenish supplies
  • label and date all items correctly
  • report maintenance deficiencies
  • clean kitchen utensils and equipment
  • put away orders
  • perform other duties assigned by management
