Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in culinary arts or a related field
  • valid Food Handler Certification
  • ability to work full-time Sunday through Wednesday
  • strong understanding of dietary restrictions and nutrition
  • experience managing kitchen budgets and inventory
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in menu planning and recipe development particularly with dietary restrictions
  • a passion for cooking and the independence to run a kitchen efficiently
  • a creative and adaptable approach to meal preparation
  • the desire to make food everyone will enjoy in a therapeutic residential setting
  • familiarity with kitchen maintenance sanitation standards and cost control
  • valid Food Handler Certification

Job Duties

  • Develop weekly menus that accommodate a variety of dietary needs including vegetarian vegan gluten-free and low-sodium options
  • curate meals that are both nutritious and appealing for clients and staff
  • manage and adhere to the kitchen's culinary and equipment budgets
  • maintain inventory and place supply orders as needed
  • ensure all kitchen operations meet food safety and sanitation standards
  • maintain kitchen equipment and cleanliness in accordance with health department regulations
  • collaborate with the team but also have the space to make the kitchen your own
