Job Requirements

  • Previous culinary management experience in a high volume, full service Four Diamond Kitchen required
  • Food Handlers Certification required
  • Candidate must have proven culinary skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidate must be creative and familiar with new food trends
  • Computer literate
  • Must have basic mathematical skills
  • Able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 Lbs
  • Able to work under extreme temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • Previous culinary management experience in a high volume, full service Four Diamond Kitchen required
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Food Handlers Certification required
  • Candidate must have proven culinary skills and must be able to lead, develop, and motivate staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational skills, Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Candidate must be creative and up to speed on new concepts and food trends
  • Fast-paced restaurant experience preferred
  • Computer literate and detail orientated is a must
  • Must have basic mathematical skills and be able to create and understand financial reports
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
  • College education and/or culinary degree preferred
  • Must be able to work for long periods of time standing/on feet, must be required to lift to 50 Lbs
  • Must be able to work under some extreme temperatures

Job Duties

  • Advise Executive Chef on all matters relating to the kitchen area and ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the restaurant
  • Carries out all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws: including interviewing, hiring, and training employees

  • addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Operates and maintains all department equipment and reports malfunctions
  • Assists the Restaurant Chef with purchasing appropriate supplies and manages inventories according to budget
  • Assists the Restaurant Chef with reviewing staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
  • Sets a positive example for guest relations
  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • effectively responds to and handles guest problems and complaints
  • Empowers associates to provide excellent customer service
  • Ensures associates understand expectations and parameters
  • Communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position
  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with associates and ensures associates do the same within the team
  • Other duties as assigned by management
