Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3-4 years current experience as a salaried sous chef in a full service or upscale casual restaurant
- Experience in high volume kitchen environments with over $5 million in annual sales
- Ability to maintain high levels of food quality, consistency, and hygiene
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Hands-on experience in hiring, training, and developing hourly employees
- Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
- Proficiency in financial management for Executive Sous Chef candidates
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-4 years current experience as a salaried Sous Chef in a Full Service or Upscale Casual restaurant
- Experience working in high volume restaurants generating over $5 million in sales per year
- Strong leadership skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Excellent organizational capabilities
- Proficient in hiring, training, and developing hourly employees
- Knowledge of food quality, consistency, and hygiene standards
- Executive Sous Chef candidates should be proficient with financial management including P&Ls, inventory, and food/labor costs
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef closely in all kitchen activities
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on fostering team member growth discussions
- Ensure maintenance of kitchen organization and hygiene in line with local health standards
- Supervise the kitchen team, encompassing Line Cooks and Dish Team, taking responsibility for food preparation environment
- Validate MIT training for FOH trainers and internal promotions of Keyholders and Sous staff
