Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A.S. degree or equivalent culinary experience
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Experience in high volume foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and communication tools
  • Ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
  • Catering experience a plus
  • High volume complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Experience with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email and Internet
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise hourly culinary associates
  • Develop daily menu items and their preparation and garnishment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
