Through a culture that fosters growth and inclusivity, Rand Tower creates an environment where employees are encouraged to thrive personally and professionally.
The role of Sous Chef at Rand Tower is a pivotal position within the culinary team. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards in food preparation and kitchen operations. This position demands a passion for culinary arts combined with leadership capabilities to support and guide the kitchen staff effectively. The Sous Chef is responsible for coordinating cooking activities, maintaining quality and consistency in all dishes, and upholding the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction through exceptional food service.
This full-time role offers competitive compensation in the range of $65,000 to $70,000 annually, with actual packages tailored to individual skill sets, experience, certifications, and location considerations. Working at Rand Tower promises not only an engaging and dynamic work environment but also the chance to be part of a growing organization where learning and fun are integral to the day-to-day experience. The hotel offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports the health, financial security, and work-life balance of its employees.
In your role as Sous Chef, you will be deeply involved in the kitchen’s day-to-day operations. Duties include preparing and cooking a diverse range of dishes using expert cooking techniques, monitoring ingredient quality, and ensuring proper food storage and safety practices. You will assist with inventory management and ordering, help maintain clean and sanitary kitchen conditions, and have the responsibility of stepping into the Executive Chef’s shoes when needed. Interpersonal skills are essential as resolving customer complaints and collaborating with team members to meet service and inventory standards are integral parts of the role.
Joining Rand Tower means aligning yourself with a brand that values inclusivity, celebrates diversity, and enforces rigorous standards in sanitation, safety, and food preparation. It is an opportunity for culinary professionals who aspire to grow their careers within a respected hospitality group and contribute meaningfully to a team dedicated to excellence.
