Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Indian chef or cook in a high-volume environment
  • Extensive knowledge of Indian culinary traditions spices and cooking methods
  • Strong creativity and ability to develop new recipes while staying true to traditional flavors
  • Proficient organizational skills and capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to culinary excellence
  • Effective communication and leadership skills for managing kitchen personnel
  • At least 2-3 years of post-high school education preferably a culinary degree

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a wide array of authentic Indian dishes including curries tandoori specialties and biryanis
  • Create innovative recipes while maintaining the authenticity and quality of traditional Indian cuisine
  • Ensure high standards of food preparation presentation and hygiene
  • Oversee kitchen operations including ingredient sourcing inventory management and equipment upkeep
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff for smooth operational processes and compliance with food safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design menus plan special events and customize offerings for dietary needs
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain consistent taste flavor and texture of all dishes
