Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • 2+ years of full-service restaurant management experience
  • Results driven, trustworthy and team oriented
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work during business hours including weekends and evenings
  • Must be able to work standing and walking for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • 2+ years of full-service restaurant management experience
  • Results driven and trustworthy
  • Strong team orientation
  • Ability to lead and develop kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals to meet guest specifications and Vandelay Hospitality Group standards
  • Ensure kitchen team adheres to standards, procedures, safety and sanitation requirements
  • Manage kitchen inventory to maintain freshness and quality of supplies
  • Ensure proper food temperatures when cooking and storage
  • Lead kitchen operations including opening and closing duties
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, training and mentoring team members
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to update team on business and menu changes
