Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED unless waived by Human Resources Management
- Three years related food service experience including two years supervisory
- ServSafe certification required
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check
- Ability to obtain and maintain gaming license
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of food preparation methods and equipment operation
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years related food service experience including two years in a supervisory capacity
- Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- ServSafe certification required
- Excellent interpersonal, guest service, leadership and communication skills
- Strong analytical, decision-making, inventory control and computer literacy
- Demonstrated ability to understand and manage cost control methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professional demeanor
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment
Job Duties
- Ensures that the proper amounts of food have been prepared in accordance with the production sheets
- Teaches all kitchen employees the skills required of their specific position including use and care of culinary tools while emphasizing safety and sanitation
- Supervises the production, preparation and presentation of all foods to ensure quality and consistent product
- Assists in creating and planning menus and daily specials, implementing production changes to attract new business and ensure guest satisfaction
- Coordinates cook schedules to maintain optimum staffing levels
- Maintains a safe, orderly and sanitized kitchen environment
- Monitors labor and food costs to meet financial objectives
- Enforces adherence to gaming, health, sanitation regulations and established policies
- Informs wait staff of food shortages and manages suitable menu substitutions
- Organizes efficient flow of production, delegates and follows up on daily events
- Oversees catering event preparation, setup, production and breakdown as assigned
- Prepares inventories, requisitions supplies, and tracks delivered products
- Mentors and coaches team members to support career development
- Performs other duties as required
