Job Requirements
- Minimum education required English reading and writing plus basic math
- Minimum 4 plus years of restaurant kitchen and line cook experience
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work both Front of House and Back of House teams
- Idaho Food Safety Certification or willingness to take test upon hire
- Non-slip shoes required
- Personal knives encouraged
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team collaboration skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 4 plus years of restaurant kitchen and line cook experience
- English reading and writing proficiency
- Basic math skills
- Idaho Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong knife skills and maintenance
- Knowledge of sauteing, searing, grilling, braising, frying, roasting techniques
- Understanding of reducing, simmering, and open flame cooking
- Experience with food safety, safe food storage, temperature control, and proper reheating
- Familiarity with brining, pickling, and the 5 Mother Sauces
- Ability to maintain high standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene
- Experience supervising kitchen staff
- Effective communication and leadership skills
Job Duties
- Work in liaison with the Head Chef to train staff
- Ensure all prep is done according to recipes and portion standards
- Lead kitchen staff through service including expo, all line stations, prep, opening/closing, dish pit
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and supervise kitchen staff for efficiency
- Manage daily food production by creating prep lists and ensuring timely setup and pickups
- Complete prep work and maintain fully stocked backups
- Ensure food meets high-quality standards and is prepared according to procedures and food safety practices
- Organize and rotate food inventory and maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Collaborate with Front of House and Back of House teams
