Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 years of experience in food service
- minimum of 2 years experience cooking to order on a hot line
- ability to work 5:00 am to 1:00 pm with alternating weekends
- flexibility to adjust hours and provide supervision across all shifts
- must live within a commutable distance to NYP
- willingness to work on-site
Job Qualifications
- graduate of a culinary arts program
- supervisory experience in a hospitality industry
- strong knowledge of large-scale culinary production
- knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
Job Duties
- support culinary operations for high volume kitchen and cafeteria
- drive continuous improvement and ensure exceptional food quality
- foster training and development of a diverse food-service team
- lead day-to-day operation of retail, catering, and patient meals
- develop production routines to optimize efficiency and service quality
- oversee staff scheduling, training, performance improvement, engagement, and equipment maintenance
